My Second Drawing of Beauvron-en-Auge is a print created in 2021 as part of David Hockney’s Normandy series. The series acts as an homage to the region of the French countryside, where Hockney stayed within the global lockdown during the pandemic.
Amongst a time of global uncertainty and distress, Hockney’s print conveys a sense of peace as he captures the pastoral charm of Beuvron-en-Auge, a small town within Normandy.
