    Mildred Scheel is a screenprint published by Warhol in 1980. It is a portrait of physician and wife of the president of the federal republic, Mildred Scheel.  

    In this portrait Mildred poses in a somewhat austere manner, dressed in formal attire. Though in keeping with the artist’s colourful portraiture in the 1980s, it is relatively minimalistic with most of the paper taken up by one colour. These facets point to Scheel’s serious profession and public life.
