Girl with Balloon is arguably the most popular image of Banksy's artwork. It was voted as Britain's most beloved image in a 2017 survey promoted by Samsung. Originally stencilled in 2004 on the wall of a bridge in London. The artist created numerous studio versions of the same work on canvas, paper and editioned print. 
Another version was stencilled on a wall of a shop in Shoreditch, London. The owners of the store suggested to detach and sell it via auction but this sparked a wave of protests and the work was left alone. Ten years later, hidden behind an advertisement, an anonymous group removed the stencil and it later reappeared in 'Stealing Banksy'. It was sadly sold shortly after.
