    Yosemite Suite No.24 is one of the most abstract of the Yosemite Suite Series, 2010, by this last artwork, David Hockney has fully integrated the Ipad technology into his artistic practice.

    Yosemite Suite No.24 depicts the towering mountains and natural landscape of the Yosemite National Park from the point of view of the granite cliff face: we can discern some small boulders on a granite surface looking towards the vast hills and fir trees in the distance.

    Hockney uses a simple two-tone colour palette: blue shades and yolk. The viewer is left to wonder at the visual splendour of the parkland and the power of nature to connect us to a ‘higher source.’
