Self-Portrait in My Living Room is a signed, dated and numbered digital print created in 2021, published as an edition size of 100. The print depicts a self-portrait of the seminal British artist David Hockney, as he holds what could either be a paintbrush or a cigarette in his right hand. Behind the artist we can see a sketch of the interior, rendered in a wash of browns and creams. Hockney turned to the creative process as a lifeline amidst the pandemic. This led to the creation of the "220 for 2020" series, in which he compiled 220 of his iPad drawings from 2020 into a book. This series provided an appreciation for the ordinary during a time filled with uncertainty.
