  •

Brash and bold, sensitive and scintillating, Damien Hirst is the most successful British artist of all time. As evocative as they are provocative, his works bring together an artist at the height of his abilities both conceptually and in the defiant execution of his ideas.  Death, rebirth, nature and mechanisation are elements of his motifs that are beautifully present as the divine mingles with the daily.

  • Sanctum

Sanctum is a series of six etchings created by the artist in 2009. In each example, a small central butterfly is surrounded by cascading, kaleidoscopic wings. The artful geometry and prismatic colours exemplify the joyful inspiration found in one of Hirst’s favourite motifs, the butterfly, seen in the artist’s body of work since his first solo exhibition in 1991.

The Souls on Jacob’s Ladder Take Their Flight is a series of 6 photogravure etchings produced by the artist in 2007.
