A Day In Knightsbridge

“Looking after our clients has really provided me with an insight about why guests chose, not only to stay at The Capital, but in Knightsbridge too. I think most would agree that the shopping and buzz is greater in the West-End, but what we lack in bright lights and businesses we certainly make up for with style and personality - our boutiques are very special too! Helping our guests to explore what is local to us is always a passion of mine. I always say, the way to start the day is with our splendid breakfast, delivered to their room, whilst preparing for the adventures that lie ahead.

The hardest question that guests consider before departing their home from home, is where to go first?  No visit to Knightsbridge would be complete without, perhaps, the most famous location in the area - and most famous department store in the world - Harrods. Only 30 seconds from the entrance of the hotel, always welcome for guests returning with arms laden with bags,we tell our guests to try not to get lost within this large labyrinth of retail bliss.

When they do manage to find their way to the exit, I urge guests to explore Hyde Park. Fresh air and nature are a great way to break up the day and the beauty of Hyde Park, for me, lies in its diversity. The Knightsbridge side with The Serpentine offers wonderful cafes to enjoy a spot of lunch before ambling to the South Kensington side with the famous Italian Gardens - a perfectly picturesque park with multiple carved historic pools, fountains, sculptures & walking paths.

Returning to the theme of shopping, Sloane Street has some incredible high-end boutique flagship stores to update any  wardrobe. And, as dusk settles on SW1 there is no shortage of places for dinner and drinks, such as the the Moonlight Bar. In summer, especially, our concierge recommends that our guests attend BBC Proms performance at The Royal Albert Hall, only 10 minutes away. This unique blend of nature, shopping, dining and culture is what makes Knightbridge truly special. Of course venturing out of the area, within 15 minutes of the hotel, you can find Buckingham Palace, Green Park, and Mayfair.

As a thank you to the team, I’d like to extend a kind offer of 20% deducted from the price of our aforementioned breakfast for Andipa clients who are staying with us. - simply quote Andipa! The magic word! When you email me at Croberts@warwickhotels.com The magic word!”
